Out & About

Whether you enjoy a gentle amble or something more energetic, walks can start from the door.

Skelwith Force is just a five minute walk away. The level path continues along the riverside to Elterwater, with picture-postcard views all the way.

There are so many magnificent fell walks for the more energetic, both in the immediate locality or further afield. Climb England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike: Great Gable or Helvellyn. Close at hand are the Langdale Pikes, Bowfell or many more. You will find walking books on hand to help you choose what's right for you.
